Pretty+Little+Liars+Season+6B+Review

You are connected to a murder, so what do you do? The girls on Pretty Little Liars are notorious for thinking of what to do as they are questioned for murder and not just one. This season is no exception. The season 6 part A finale had tied up all of the loose ends and we had all of our questions answered; until the second part of the season came along with a bunch of new questions.

They jump five years into the future where the girls have all gone their own way to adjust to a new life without A. Hanna works in New York for a fashion designer. Aria works at a book publishing company. Spencer works for the government in Washington, D.C. Emily works as a barista in San Diego. And Alison works as an English teacher in Rosewood.

I was so thrilled the new season was coming out, I couldn’t wait! I was curious to know how they would pull this season off. How will the girls lives be without being tormented by A? What went on during those five years? Is the town still the same? But most of all, I was excited to see all of the Rosewood guys.

I watched the season premier and was a little bit disappointed. I wasn’t as into it as I was with the previous season. They were older and everything had changed. It was hard getting over the fact the relationship between the girls was strained and the couples who existed in part A no longer existed in part B. There was so many missing pieces about their lives from the five years that weren’t shown. However, after watching a few other episodes, those pieces started falling into place. The feeling of disappointment passed and I was happy to have my show back.

I did like how Marlene King, the developer and producer of the show, made connections in this season to the first one. The scene of the funeral for Charlotte was basically the same as the one for Ali in the first season. The actors have such a good friendship with each other beyond Pretty Little Liars  and it shows up throughout the show as they interact with each other. I like how the show makes it seem like you are living it through all of the suspense and the drama the town of Rosewood brings. This was not my favorite season, however this show is still one of my favorites.
