Michelle’s Photographs

West High Nate Disterhoft “17 guarding a Prairie basketball player.

During this project, I had a lot of fun taking pictures of friends, family and just other students. I’m that type of person who doesn’t go outside and socialize much, and this project took me to a basketball game, took me outside of my comfort zone, and helped me explore new things about West High. In this project I took pictures of students who were in the basketball game, students who played in the band, students who are friends, and just fellow classmates. In pictures I like to capture the moments in people’s lives, and look back to remember the good old days to when that picture was taken. From 10 years from now, I can look back to this and remember that one time I got out of my comfort zone and went to my first high school basketball game. I also learned that captions can bring a picture to life and have more story in it. Overall, I learned that photography can take me out of my comfort zone and pictures are very important in life.
