The Lego Batman Movie

Lego Batman sounds like a movie for children, even so, I went to this movie. I have to admit, it surprised me. I expected it to be more like Dora the Explorer, the movie turned out to be funnier than I expected. I could hardly tell it was a movie made for children. The fact that a movie is PG can be a real turn-off for teens, especially high school students, even so, you could hardly tell it is a movie that is PG. This is one of the better PG movies I have seen.

As many DC movies The Lego Batman Movie lived up to its’ expectations, with a 91% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.8/10 on IMBd. As a Marvel guy I prefer movies like The Avengers and The Amazing Spiderman, even so I would have to admit it’s a pretty good movie.

Batman foils Joker’s evil plan to destroy Gotham City. After this, Batman goes to the retirement party of the old police commissioner and the inauguration of the new one. While here Batman accidentally adopts a boy named Dick Grayson, who is Robin. While at this party, Joker attacks and turns himself in. There are many more things that happen and leads to an invasion of Gotham City by the worst criminals in the galaxy.

This movie’s main theme is theme revolves around the fact that Batman needs to let people into his life.

If you don’t really know things about the DC and Marvel Universes I would recommend doing a bit of research, a wikipedia search during the previews wouldn’t hurt (I am not suggesting that you use your phone during the movie).

This movie is a solid 9/10. It was funny in a family friendly way. A movie I could bring up for family movie night. This is probably one of the best movies that I have seen. There are many great movies out this month but I would highly encourage seeing this one.
