The recent MLK celebration at West produced a lot of art. One poster on the second floor has eyes that seem to follow you around.

I was really looking forward to this unit until it came. Originally I thought, “Oh! Piece of cake. I’ve taken black and white film photography before. It’s basically the same thing. I. Got. This.” Boy was I wrong. Apparently I learned nothing about photo composition from my previous classes. A lot of this unit was me thinking I had taken a good photo and then realizing it was terrible. I have to say though, after watching the slideshows in class, I couldn’t stop seeing photo opportunities. Everywhere I looked I saw something that made me go, “I should take a photo of that.” So, long story short, I didn’t always understand what I was doing, but I made it, and I’m pretty proud of some of my photos.
