Magnus Wilson ’20 is working on an animation and helping with lighting for the upcoming play.
You move your little character just the tiniest bit, click, you just got another frame for your animation. That’s what it’s like creating animations for Wilson.

¨Obviously animation is a hobby,¨ Wilson said. Magnus also showed us the animation he was working on, and his progress. He began to tell us that he was help kids animate over the summer.

¨Over the summer I taught some kids to animate for a week¨ said Wilson. He is unsure if he will apply this to his career or not ¨ I’ve thought about it. I kind of prefer drawing animation and moving characters.¨

Animation isn’t the only thing Magnus is working on, he is also helping with the upcoming theater production. ¨I just signed up for lighting for theater¨. Magnus is helping on Miracle on 34th street, the upcoming theater west production.

This isn’t his first theater production. ¨I have done only lighting for the last few plays.¨ he has been assisting with lights for several productions.

¨I never really thought of animation as a passion. My main past time would be engineering, and tech things.¨said Wilson. Animation, and lighting might not be be his passion but they are what make him a tech genius.
