Review of Grey’s Anatomy Season 12
Do not read unless you are completely caught up on season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy. There are lots of spoilers!

Death. Love conflicts. Good looking male doctors. Seems like craziness. That pretty much sums up the popular tv show Grey’s Anatomy. In the current season of Grey’s Anatomy, main character Dr. Meredith Grey is still coping with the death of her well-known neurosurgeon husband Derek Shepherd. Best friends who turned to lovers, April Kepner and Jackson Avery are having troubles with their marriage ever since April left Jackson and traveled to Jordan in the last season.
On the last episode of season 12, which aired March 17, April seemed to be taking the divorce with Jackson pretty well. I thought she was going to be more upset about it than she actually was but I’m glad to see that she’s doing alright. I hope she stays in the place she’s at right now, especially because she’s pregnant.
There were some things about the last episode that made me upset like Meredith and Thorpe and April not telling Jackson about their baby. In the last episode, some doctors from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital–Meredith included–traveled to Bauer Medical to do a special surgery on a military patient. When we first met him, I thought he was mean and I despised the fact that he asked for Meredith’s number. The death of Derek Shepherd last season was a very heartbreaking moment that I’m still not over. And now Meredith is exchanging numbers with this new doctor she just met? I didn’t like it. I can only see her with Derek. But after watching the latest episode, seeing Thorpe surprise Meredith at the end of the day, he seems sweet and maybe they could be nice together.
April and Jackson’s relationship has been everywhere. On and off I thought they were good together. But now that they’re divorced everything is different. Good friend Dr. Alex Karev is sort of in the middle of their relationship now. He’s keeping April’s pregnancy secret and Jackson’s date secret. I feel bad for Karev because he has problems of his own with his rejected marriage proposal to his girlfriend Dr. Jo Wilson. I feel like April and Jackson’s relationship is just sad now and I don’t think they can fix their issues. Of course the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, Shonda Rhimes had to make April pregnant to add more plot to their love story, but to me it just adds more chaos. In the latest episode in the last scene, Arizona was telling Jackson about the baby and April walked in unaware that she was telling her secret. Arizona and Karev advised her many times to tell Jackson but she wouldn’t do it because she didn’t want to hurt him more. But I wish April would’ve told Jackson because now he’s going to be angry and I don’t think they’ll ever be able to be close again.
Before the end of season 12 I would like to see something positive with April and Jackson. I want them to work out their issues and be happy together as friends. Jackson should definitely help with the baby but it doesn’t really seem like April wants his help. Jo needs to accept Karev’s marriage proposal! I know not everyone likes Jo and Alex as a couple but I really like them together and I want them to get married soon.
Whoever reads this probably thinks this show is a crazy mess, but it’s totally worth the time. Not only is it funny, romantic, and dramatic, you might pick up some medical knowledge as well. While it may not all be 100% correct, it’s fun to believe you’re as smart as the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. If you enjoy becoming emotionally involved with TV characters and riding a roller coasters of emotions, you’ll like Grey’s Anatomy. Not to mention the pretty attractive male characters in the show. It’s just one of those shows that you want to keep watching because all of the characters are so interesting and you feel like you can somewhat relate to them.
