In 2017 she plans to travel with her family to Turks again. On the vacations that she does, she usually goes with her family, but on occasional brings her friends along.

“Typically on these vacations we go as a family but other friends in the neighborhood go and we do some activities with them but we also do family exclusive things.” Upchurch said.

She Traveled with Abby Henderson and  Savanna Richter to Turks just this year and explained how she felt during the trip. “having your best friends by your side in one the most amazing parts of the world is a really cool thing.” She explains during the interview via text message.

Another students that has traveled many places is Zach Ring ’18. He has traveled to the following countries; The Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Batiz, Guatemala and the Little French Key. Recalling his many vacations Ring explains why he likes too travel to the countries he did. “[It’s] enjoyable and I like observing different cultures.]” Ring said. “I usually travel with my family on these vacations.” He also explained during the interview while slightly laughing, about the worst part of traveling. “Waking up early to do fun activities.” He said.
