This dance Choreographed by Mckenna Harris questions our society and whether or not it is still racist against African Americans.

Think to yourself… Even though slavery ended and racism has declined rapidly in our community, are you still racist? Do people still discriminate against the African American race? The answer to that question is yes, and if you try to argue that you or other people are not, then you are in denial.

Random blacks pulled over because of their skin tone. White cops jumping to conclusion and shooting innocent African Americans just because of the stereotypes brought upon them since the beginning. You think ‘I am not racist’ but are you really not? Walking through the halls of West High you hear comments and conversations involving the N word or little funny jokes (that aren’t really funny) like “Oh you do that because you’re black” or “you’re not black you’re just burnt”. Trying to impress or get a giggle out of your friends while offending people that can not choose the color of their skin. Even though you may not be saying those things or are not laughing when the jokes are cracked, you are not taking action in stopping it. You aren’t standing up for what is right. You are letting it happen, you are making it seem like what one is doing is acceptable. Now think, would you want to be treated like the African Americans in today’s society?
