Mural of photos
Posted all around the classroom are photos, memories taken by Holly Robinson herself.
From South America to Eastern Europe, World History teacher Holly Robinson has been to over 40 countries.
Her most favored places she has traveled, has been Peru and Machu Picchu. “I really liked Eastern Europe just because of the old and traditional feeling,” Robinson said, “I love Italy, and I would say the mountains in Afghanistan were really, really pretty.”
The reason why Robinson goes to these places is the adventure of it. Viewing all of the cool places gives Robinson excuses to take so many pictures. “Though it makes you appreciate home,” says Robinson.
Though she’s been desensitized by the hundreds of photos that cover the walls of her classroom; she favors the photo of the Machu Picchu ruins, the two girls in Afghanistan, and the elephant from Africa.
Robinson says, “the fun thing about it is that every one of these pictures are moments and I distinctly remember each of these moments and kinda the feeling I had; taking the picture, what else was going on while I was taking these pictures, where I was, what I was thinking. So I think that’s a really fun aspect of it, I mean, there all so different; the memories and stories that go with them.”
Here are some of the many photos Mrs. Robinson has, placed on the walls of the room:
