We are #InternetChallenged
It’s amazing what people will do for the internet. They’ll willingly put a spoonful of cinnamon powder in their mouth, suck on a shot glass until their lips bleed, burn the skin on their arms with the help of salt and ice, and pour buckets of ice water over their heads all for the sake of a few likes on Instagram.

Why do people put their safety at risk for internet fame?
The physically and often mentally dangerous activities dubbed as “challenges” have been around for several years now, each with its own fear factor and laugh factor. Challenges like the cinnamon challenge and salt and ice challenge can lead to a very painful experience. What is it about the internet that makes people so desperate for popularity that they will go to such lengths?
While most are all in good fun, people have gotten seriously hurt in their pursuit of internet popularity. We have heard stories of people suffocating from the cinnamon challenge, and suffering permanent burns from the salt and ice challenge. Somehow the internet has reprogrammed us to think that such risks are all worth it.
From challenges like the cinnamon and salt-and-ice challenges, which have been known to pose serious medical risks, to challenges like the ten toes down challenge, which are harmless, challenges and other internet phenomena often spread quickly.

In this video we made teachers try different jellybean challenges. The first teacher ,Jenny, tried to guess the flavors of the jellybeans and the other 3 teachers tried our version of the jellybean challenge.
