Construction at West High School is nearing the estimated deadline of Nov. 28. The construction is currently in phase two out of three. Phase one was renovating the cafeteria, south gym and weight room. Phase two will add bigger windows, better window curtains, and air conditioning. Additionally, phase three is rebuilding the commons.

 After the classrooms get remolded the commons are next. Floor to ceiling windows and furniture are some of the things added to the commons. This will make a better student experience with having a place to study and hang out with friends. The effects of construction can be seen throughout the building. This consists of missing ceiling panels and cold hallways. This was all due to the classrooms in the old part of the building being out of date and needing an update.
