My middle school yearbook director used to say, “Take photos that tell a story.” That line has stuck with me since the first time I heard it. Now, every time that I go through photos in my camera roll, I tend to always think of the story I could tell behind a certain photo. I used to take photos of whatever I felt like taking photos of, but I learned to take photos of things I want to last in memories. Whether it be a majestic sunset, a fit of laughter from my siblings, or the first drops of snow and ice on the tree in the front yard, I take my time to make sure that the shot captures exactly what I want it to capture. Throughout this project, I’ve rediscovered my love and passion for photography, and I’ve taken photos that from times, angles, and lightings that I haven’t done before. This project enunciates the importance of capturing a photo with the elements that appeal to viewers, and the value of capturing emotions and reactions in their raw form. By far, the photography project has been my favorite among all others.
