For the short time I have been taking Foundations of Journalism, I was most scared of the photography unit because I knew I wasn’t good at taking photos and I always found it difficult to get interesting pictures of objects that are considered bland or boring at first glance. However, my stress of taking good photos quickly diminished when I started this project. I was able to go downtown with some of my friends that are also taking this class and we took lots of photos while having lots of fun. We’d take pictures of each other’s faces for candid photos and laugh about it, and we’d hype up each other whenever one of us would get a photo that we really liked. Even though my photos definitely aren’t the best, I found the experience to be really fun and interactive. Because of this project, I was able to overcome my stress and now I have found a new passion in taking photos of objects around me.
