Before this photography unit, I always felt discouraged from taking creative photos because I thought I needed to be professional to do so. I imagined myself looking ridiculous obsessing over frozen ice where there used to be leaves. But through this unit, I learned that art is art and if I wanted to take a photo, there would be nothing to come in the way. It gave me a reason to capture little things that are usually just looked over. I was able to find different perspectives, that could potentially impact the meaning of a photo. I know now that there are so many different ways to approach photography whether it was capturing emotion, action, or just playing with shadows. But this is just the beginning, and I feel like there is so much more to discover.
