Lydia Shin’s Photo Gallery

PORTRAIT Buddy struggles to find somewhere to sit because the ground is covered in frozen spikes of grass. Once he sits, I realize that the iced over wild grasses in the back will make for a great background. (1/21/2020)

Going into this project, I planned on just getting the bare minimum and wanted to get it done as soon as possible. After a few days of experimenting with the camera settings and viewing things from different perspectives, I realized that photography can actually mean something. Before, I didn’t see the point of taking pictures because things looked better in real life. The thing is, taking pictures can make things look better than real life if you’re good enough. So my goal for these photos was just to take pictures of my family and I’s everyday life and see it from a new perspective.
